Here is a summary and short clip from Rev. Scott Deneen’s 25 Aug 2024 teaching drawn 1 Corinthians 11:2-26 titled “Men, Women, and Worship”.

The following is a summary from Rev. Scott Deneen’s 25 Aug 2024 teaching “Men, Women, and Worship” drawn from 1 Corinthians 11:2-26.  The sermon focuses on various aspects of Christian life and the church, particularly addressing the roles and relationships within the church and the broader society. It delves into the concept of headship, discussing the authority structure in God's world and the church, as well as the roles of men and women. Rev Deneen emphasizes the importance of living in harmony with God's revealed will and resisting cultural pressures that contradict biblical norms. Additionally, it touches on the Trinity, the Lord's Supper, and the use of spiritual gifts in the church. Rev Deneen acknowledges the difficulty of some passages and expresses the intention to preach in ways that honor the Lord and provide meaningful applications for the congregation.

Sermon Excerpt From “Men, Women, and Worship” drawn from 1 Corinthians 11:2-26 So here's some questions to think about as we go forward. How are we magnifying the supremacy of Christ in the church through our roles as men and women? In other words, if Christ is the bridegroom and the church is his bride, how are males and females maintaining that testimony in the life of the church and in our homes? Those are things that we've got to wrestle with because our culture, our culture is driving a wedge between men and women as a gender.
