Sermon Excerpt From “Cross and Crown”: God is not interested in shaming you in Christ. He is interested in waking us up with his word, with his commands, with his principles and precepts, but not shamefully. He's wanting to wake up. Wake up and to encourage us to live godly lives in response to the gospel message, not shaking a finger unless it's necessary, because he loves us too much. Paul loved this church too much to just gloss over their pride and rebellion and their immaturity.
